In 1979, local Philadelphia electrician Nick Di Medio opened his own supply shop. That year, Westway Electric Supply opened its doors to serve consumers and electrical professionals alike, providing those in the Greater Philadelphia area with an array of top, name-brand electric supplies and personalized customer service.
Westway began selling online in 2001, branching into the growing realm of e-commerce. In 2008, Di Medio retired and sold the family-owned business to entrepreneur Tony Buonocore. Buonocore, who had previously worked in the financial industry, was attracted to the idea of owning and operating a small business. With Buonocore at the helm, Westway maintained its mom-and-pop feel, but modernized Westway’s system of online ordering, moving the electric supply company into the 21st century.
What sets Westway Electric Supply apart is its prompt, personal service. Westway returns customer emails and phone calls almost as quickly as they come in. Westway's knowledgeable and dedicated staff go the extra mile to answer any questions customers may have or help them find a solution to any electrical problem they encounter. No matter how big or small the order, if for some reason, an item is not in stock, customers will receive a personal email or phone call from our customer service associates to let them know that there is a delay that will soon be resolved.
Thanks to a streamlined order process, orders go out swiftly and at the lowest prices possible to the customer. Westway drop ships a large portion of their orders directly from the manufacturer -- which plays a big part in keeping prices at the wholesale level.
